Who We Are
Hunter of Money is a personal finance media site founded by Bobby Cowart — a Navy veteran, real estate investor, and landlord. Bobby built this site to share the practical, plain-English financial education he wished he had earlier in life.
We are not a bank, broker, registered investment advisor, or financial institution. Everything on this site is educational content, not personalized financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making major financial decisions.
Our Editorial Mission
Hunter of Money exists to help everyday people build real wealth — through investing, real estate, income growth, and smart money management. We publish content that is:
- Practical over theoretical. We focus on what people can actually do with their money, not abstract financial theory.
- Plain English, not jargon. If a concept needs a finance degree to understand, we explain it in plain terms first.
- Experience-backed. Bobby writes from real experience as a landlord and investor, not from press releases.
- Independent in judgment. Affiliate relationships do not determine what we recommend. We recommend what we believe is genuinely useful.
How We Research and Write
Every article on Hunter of Money is written or reviewed by Bobby Cowart or a qualified contributor. Our research process includes:
- Direct experience with the products, platforms, or strategies covered where possible
- Review of current rate data, fee structures, and product terms at time of publication
- Cross-referencing primary sources (IRS publications, SEC filings, company investor relations pages, government data)
- Citing authoritative external sources including federal agencies, academic research, and established financial institutions
We do not publish content generated entirely by AI without human review and fact-checking. Articles are written by people, checked by people, and represent the honest views of the author.
How We Make Money
Hunter of Money is reader-supported. We earn revenue through:
- Affiliate commissions: Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click and purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings or recommendations.
- Digital product sales: We sell spreadsheets, workbooks, and deal analyzers that we built and use ourselves.
- Display advertising: Google AdSense ads appear on most pages.
Our commitment: We will never recommend a product solely because it pays a higher commission. If a product is not genuinely useful for our readers, we will not feature it as a top pick regardless of what it pays.
Updating and Correcting Content
Financial products, rates, and regulations change frequently. We aim to review and update key articles on a regular basis. Each article that contains time-sensitive data includes the date it was last reviewed.
If you find an error, outdated information, or a broken link, please contact us. We take corrections seriously and will update articles promptly when errors are confirmed.
Corrections Policy
When a factual error is identified and confirmed:
- We correct the article immediately
- We note the correction at the bottom of the article with the date corrected
- We do not silently delete content that was incorrect — we acknowledge and fix it
