Bobby’s Story

Bobby Cowart grew up without a blueprint for money. No one in his family talked about investing, net worth, or how to build wealth. What he had was discipline, a willingness to learn, and 30 years of service in the United States Navy.

The Navy taught him structure, accountability, and how to make decisions under pressure. What it did not teach him was personal finance. Like most people, he had to figure that out on his own, through trial, error, and eventually through deliberate study of how money actually works.

After retiring from the Navy as an O-4, Bobby turned his attention to real estate. He bought his first rental property, then another. He learned how to analyze deals, how to manage tenants, how to structure cash flow, and how to build an income stream that did not depend on a paycheck.

He documented what worked in a book: Real Estate Investing for Beginners: The Insider’s Secrets to Saving Money and Minimizing Risks When Investing in Real Estate. Then he built Hunter of Money to share the same framework for free, with tools available for those who want to go deeper.

Why Hunter of Money Exists

Most personal finance advice is written for people who already have money. It assumes you have a financial advisor, a 401(k) match, and parents who explained compound interest at the dinner table.

Bobby built Hunter of Money for everyone else. The people who are starting from zero, carrying debt, working a job that does not feel secure, or just trying to make sense of a financial system no one taught them to navigate.

The mission is simple: practical money education, written plainly, with real tools that help you apply it to your own numbers.

Who This Site Is For

Carrying debt you want gone

Credit cards, student loans, or car payments that feel like they’ll never end.

Starting to invest but unsure how

You know you should be in the market but no one ever explained it without jargon.

Interested in real estate

You want rental income but do not know how to analyze a deal or get started.

Worried about AI and your income

You are watching your industry change and want a plan that does not depend on one employer.

The Framework

The Hunter of Money Method

Six steps. In order. Each one builds on the last.

01
Protect Your Income

Your income is the engine. Understand what threatens it, including job displacement, market shifts, and no backup plan, and build a defense before anything else.

02
Control Destructive Debt

High-interest debt drains wealth faster than almost anything else. Pay it down aggressively before building assets.

03
Build a Cash Reserve

Three to six months of expenses in a high-yield savings account. This is the buffer that lets you take smart risks without panic.

04
Invest Consistently

Index funds, ETFs, and dividend stocks in a Roth IRA or brokerage account, on auto-invest. Consistency beats timing every time.

05
Acquire Cash-Flowing Assets

Rental properties, REITs, or digital products that pay you while you sleep. This is where income starts compounding beyond your job.

06
Adapt as the Economy Changes

AI, inflation, rate shifts, and market cycles are all forces you cannot control. What you can control is how quickly you adjust and what new skills you build.

Editorial Values

Every article and tool on Hunter of Money is held to the same standard:

  • No guaranteed returns. Anyone promising you a specific outcome is selling something, not helping you.
  • No invented credentials. Bobby is a veteran, investor, and educator. He is not a licensed financial advisor. Every article says so.
  • Plain English only. If you need a finance degree to understand it, it does not belong here.
  • Tools over theory. Articles teach the strategy. Tools help you apply it to your own numbers.
  • Corrections policy. If something is wrong, it gets fixed. See the Corrections Policy.

Hunter of Money content is for educational purposes only and does not constitute personalized financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. Results depend on your own numbers, decisions, and follow-through.
